Sarah Pierce- University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Hi students, teachers, and parents! I am in my last semester of my undergrad in Physics. I have a great amount of experience with both physics and math.  My goal is to help all of you pass your standardized exams!!!

When I was in middle school and high school I asked my teachers how do I prepare for my exams? They would give us study guides or play games to review. But when I asked how do I study for MCAS, SATs, ACTs, AP exams, College Placement exams and my MTELS? I was told to pay attention in ALL classes, get a good sleep, and eat a good breakfast. This contradicts with how I was taught to prepare for small exams. I created this website to help you study, make study guides, play games to study for your standardized physics/math exams! If I can improve the website, please let me know!

Good luck! I hope this helps :)

Help Navigating Website:

The Home Page simply Welcomes you to learn Physics!

ABOUT&Help: Who I am, Contact Information, and how to find what you want on the website

PHYSICS: The chapters of what you should study first based on topics and difficulty of each chapter is in order so start with the first one. The notes do not cover everything you have to know but are a quick review in order to understand the fundamentals. Many in class are scared to ask questions and become lost is the first few steps. So I decided to write basic notes that discuss the first few steps and concepts of each topic you will possibly be tested on.

BLOG: Inside each title will be notes, videos, pictures, games, activities, and practice problems. These are labeled with the physics notes from above. I put them in a blog so I do not take credit for any one of these mathmaticians or physicists that have worked hard to make their videos or games. I simply wanted them to be known and found so I put them into one blog to help students rather than them having to find each video on their own. Thank you for those who I have added their videos to the blog! :)

WRITING IN SCIENCE: This is an extra step of studying to help get all the points possible for open response questions! Also to have a better understanding of the multiple choice questions. Many teachers in science do not have enough time to touch on writing and reading comprehension. Also it is not what they specialized in. So if you struggle with open response or understanding problems try this!

MORE: This section consists of other sections...

Vocabulary: The vocabulary is from the notes under physics. Click any of the bolded key terms and it will bring you to the vocabulary list with the definition. Or click on more go to vocabulary and there will be a list of all key terms and their definitions.

Videos: When you click on the video tag under more it will bring you to a page that has the tags of pictures, videos, etc. Click videos and you will see all videos that are on the blog. You can also access the videos through the blog by clicking the tag video on the right side.

Calculator: The calculator is added just incase you misplaced, lost, or don't have a calculator. There is a scientific calculator to solve math computations and trig functions. There is also a graphing calculator to imagine how a function would appear as a graph. Just type in the function and a graph will appear!
